Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe - Organically grown in the Uva Region of Sri Lanka. Wiry well twisted long leaf tea. Smaller in size than the Orange Pekoe. Best consumed straight. Possesses a mellow soothing taste.
Orange Pekoe is a grading term and is referred to a high quality grade of tea. Broken Orange Pekoe is when the leaves are further crushed.
This is just the best black tea one can purchase. Orange Pekoe is a quality designation meaning the smallest half dozen or so leaves on the flower end of the branch, and the smallest of these plus the flower are collected for this sublime tea. Suggest steeping 5 mins. and serving with warmed milk; I enjoy a half teaspoon sugar with it. I only steep one time though I could a second time, but there's a wonderful aromatic that is lost on the second steeping. Also makes a great iced tea or tea without milk.
Ceylon Flowery Broken OP tea must be one of the best black teas in the world. Makes a great afternoon tea as well as other times as at morning and evening.
